Blues next in Lake County concert series

Fresh from the Chicago Blues Festival, Big James and the Chicago Playboys perform Tuesday, June 26 as the next act in the Lake County Forest Preserve District’s outdoor concert series. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and are open to all ages at the Independence Grove Forest Preserve amphitheater. Parking is $5 per car after 5 p.m. and cars are turned away when the lot is full. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Concerts also will be on July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 and Aug. 7, weather permitting. In case of a rainout, the concert is held on Thursday the same week.
