Group to debate Dimucci proposal

The Lake County regional planning commission will meet Monday to debate a proposal to rezone 109 acres near Hawthorn Woods as commercial property. The meeting is set for 5 p.m. at Concord Banquets, 20922 N. Rand Road, Kildeer. The controversial request concerns land owned by the Dimucci family at Rand and Old McHenry roads. Dozens of area residents have opposed the plan at recent meetings, as have village officials in nearby towns.
