Mark Smith named girls basketball coach at Burlington Central

Burlington Central High School announced Thursday that Mark Smith is the new varsity girls basketball coach.

Smith brings 29 years of basketball coaching experience on the high school, college and AAU levels. Smith has coached high school basketball for 22 years, six seasons as boys varsity coach at St. Charles North and seven years at the collegiate level.

Prior to joining the program at Burlington Central, Smith was the women’s basketball coach at Harper College in Palatine from 2008-11.
