Hunger Walk Scavenger Hunt - Thank You

To the editor:

GFWC-IL Elgin Junior Woman's Club would like to thank the wonderful residents of Elgin who donated food to our “Hunger Walk Scavenger Hunt” on Saturday, June 16. We walked in a few of the neighborhoods collecting food for the Northern IL Food Bank and the people of Elgin generously responded. We were able to contribute 286 pounds of non-perishable food items. We would also like to thank Mudd & Eddie's Pub on McLean Blvd. for providing a location to gather and Jewel-Osco on Larkin Ave. for supplying plastic bags. It is such a pleasure to be involved in a community that cares about and supports those that are less fortunate. Thank you again to everyone for their kindness.
