Woman injured in Wheeling bike accident

A bicyclist was injured Tuesday night after hitting a car at the corner of Arlington Drive and Seville Court, authorities said.
Sgt. Paul Hardt of the Wheeling Police Department said the female bicyclist hit the rear fender of the vehicle at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday night, after the vehicle turned from westbound Arlington onto southbound Seville.
The woman fell off the bike after hitting the car and bumped her head, She was transported to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights with non life-threatening injuries, he said.
No one was cited in the accident, he said.
Hardt said the woman told officers she didn’t see the car before pulling into the intersection to cross the road, and she didn’t have time to stop before hitting the car.
