Naperville man gets probation, jail for child porn

A Naperville man convicted of aggravated child pornography has been sentenced to three years of probation and time served in the county jail, prosecutors said Monday.

Duane Lipinski, 44, of the 600 block of Milton Drive, also must get counseling and register as a sex offender for life.

Police arrested Lipinski in February after searching his home and seizing computers containing thousands of child pornography images, authorities said. Lipinski told investigators he had been collecting the material, including images of infants, about six years, according to prosecutors. His arrest was the result of a six-month online undercover investigation.

Lipinski pleaded guilty in May and was sentenced Friday by DuPage County Judge Daniel Guerin to 36 months of probation and 180 days in the jail. With credit for time in custody since his arrest, the jail sentence is considered served, prosecutors said.
