The Illinois CPA Society dispensed $47,000 in scholarships to 27 students at eight universities across the state, including three others from Norhtern Illinois University.

NIU Professor of Accountancy Jim Young was also recently honored by the Illinois CPA Society by being selected as the 2012 Outstanding Accounting Educator. He became the seventh member of the NIU faculty to receive that award.
