Arts Commission co-sponsors free children’s events

The Village of Hoffman Estates Arts Commission and the Hoffman Estates Park District welcome a variety of children’s entertainment to the Vogelei Park pavilion throughout the summer.

This year, there will be a total of five events at the pavilion, all taking place at noon on alternating Fridays.

The lineup for 2012 is as follows:

Ÿ June 15: Super Stolie is a high-energy, interactive music show for kids with both traditional songs and catchy originals.

Ÿ June 29: Round Lake Theatre presents a staged production of the musical “The Little Mermaid.”

Ÿ July 13: Magician Dennis DeBondt performs magic and comedy.

Ÿ July 27: Catch This!, a comedic juggling duo featuring juggling and comedy.

Ÿ August 10: Carole Peterson has been making music and silliness with “Macaroni Soup” since 1989.

Vogelei Park is at 650 W. Higgins Road, at the corner of Golf and Higgins roads in the central part of the village. Admission is free. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to the park.
