Sky scouting report
Seattle Storm (1-6) at Chicago Sky (6-1)
When: 7 p.m., today
Where: Allstate Arena
TV: Comcast CN100
Last time: On Saturday, the visiting Storm lost to the San Antonio Silver Stars, 80-67; on Sunday, the visiting Sky defeated the New York Liberty, 73-64.
Skinny: The Sky continues to stay hot, winning its fifth game in a row Sunday in the Big Apple. Off to its best start in franchise history, the Sky is tied with the Connecticut Sun for first place in the Eastern Conference…Sky guard Epiphanny Prince hasn't cooled off either. After three consecutive 30-plus-point games, Prince rolled up 26 points against New York on 5 three-pointers. She leads the WNBA in scoring at 25.3 points per game...Another big plus in New York was that the Sky had just 10 turnovers, down from 27 turnovers in its previous game against Tulsa…Seattle is struggling without its go-to player, 6-foot-6 veteran center Lauren Jackson, a consistent 20-point scorer in the WNBA. She is in her native Australia practicing with the national team there in preparation for the Olympics. She won't return to the Storm until August, after the Olympic break…Led by guard Sue Bird and center Ann Wauters, who each average only about 10 points per game, the Storm has lost its last three games and has beaten only winless Tulsa.
Next: Sky at Indiana Fever, 6 p.m. Saturday
