At a glance: The Cubs are 3-11 all time against the Tigers, 1-5 at Wrigley Field. The Tigers hit town as a disappointment so far as they're 28-32 and third in the American League Central, behind the White Sox and Cleveland. Prince Fielder, one of the top free-agent signings of last winter, leads the Tigers in on-base percentage (.386), but Miguel Cabrera leads the team in batting average (.317), home runs (13), RBI (51) and hits (77) to go along with an OPS of .920. Verlander has 95 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.69. Detroit ranks seventh in the AL in runs, ninth in home runs and 11th in ERA. The Cubs are 14th in the NL in runs, 11th in homers and 14th in ERA. With the DH not in play, look for the Cubs' Alfonso Soriano to return to left field.
