Lake Co. Democrats have new circuit clerk candidate

Lake County Democratic Party leaders have chosen an attorney from Grayslake to be their nominee for circuit court clerk.

Rupam C. Dave, 50, will run against Republican Keith Brin in the November general election. A replacement candidate was needed after the Democrats’ initial nominee, Cynthia Pruim Haran, dropped out of the race last month.

Republican incumbent Sally Coffelt is not seeking re-election.
