Palatine girl, Pizza Bella host toy drive

An upcoming toy drive will honor a Palatine girl with brain cancer and her move to the new Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Rosie Colucci, a second-grader diagnosed with neurofibromatosis on her third birthday, has helped organize numerous fundraisers to help other sick kids.

The latest toy drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Pizza Bella, 100 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine. There will also be face painting and a bake sale featuring owner Tony De Filippis’ Bella Sweets. Toys collected will be delivered to the new hospital. All donations must be new.
