Catch the spirit of Libertyville Days
Celebrate the spirit of Libertyville during the annual Libertyville Days Festival, Thursday, June 14, through Sunday, June 17.
The Libertyville Civic Center Foundation’s biggest fundraiser features a variety of family-friendly events including carnival rides and games, an outdoor art and craft s fair, and the spectacular Libertyville Days Parade.
The Taste of Libertyville features a wide variety of local food and drink vendors and the beer garden has been expanded out from the Civic Center parking lot and down Church Street past the music main stage and food court.
Musical entertainmentThe musical entertainment lineup includes The Personnel; Blonde On Board, one of Chicago#146;s finest party bands; Supernaut, a rock #146;n#146; roll cover band; and Mellencougar, a John Mellencamp tribute band. For the younger crowd, a children#146;s party will offer free games, crafts and entertainment in exchange for the donation of a nonperishable item to the Libertyville Township Food Pantry.On Saturday night, talented teen bands will perform on the youth stage. Are you a singer? Join the Libertyville#146;s Got Talent Show on Friday night. Sweet tooth? Watch the cookie bake-off sponsored by Lovin#146; Oven Cakery, or join Kiwanis International for a watermelon-eating contest on Sunday.Also on Sunday, there will be a baggo tournament in the beer tent and a photo exhibition celebrating the spirit of Libertyville, at the Brainerd Community Center, Route 176 and Brainerd Avenue.Entry forms and information are on the festival website.Family entertainmentThe McNulty Irish Dancers perform in Cook Park. Or come enjoy a magician entertain with wonderful tricks, fabulous music and comedy for all ages.
