Former paint store leveled in Lake Zurich

The building at 520 W. Main St. in Lake Zurich, which once housed Pathman Paints, was bulldozed by property owner Jim Iverhouse last week to improve sightlines for his neighboring business.

Iverhouse, owner of Goodyear Tire, 526 W. Main Street, knocked down the building down so people can get a better view of his store, said Dan Peterson, director of building and zoning for the village of Lake Zurich.

Peterson said Iverhouse purchased the property earlier this year and has no plans for the property at this time.
