Denny-White pitches Bandits to victory

The Chicago Bandits captured their third victory in four games, defeating the USSSA Pride 5-2 in Rosemont on Sunday.

In the circle for the Bandits was Meagan Denny-White, who made her first NPF start victorious with a distance performance. Denny-White allowed 2 runs on 5 hits with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Providing offensive support were Alisa Goler and Megan Wiggins. Goler was 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI, while Wiggins had a double, a single and scored a pair of runs.

Bandits left-fielder Danielle Zymkowitz made a solid defensive play when she caught a fly and threw home to catcher Kristen Butler, who tagged a runner trying to score for a double play.

Wiggins made a leaping catch that robbed the Pride’s Kelsey Bruder of a homer run.
