Romney must reach out to Paul backers

I could fill a page with the reasons I could not vote for Obama, but it has already been said over and over again by others. Not conservatives, but by Constitutionalists.

I supported Ron Paul in both his campaigns because I believe in the Constitution and he is the only candidate of the two major parties that does. Just a few quick points that the public should keep in mind when considering voting for Mitt Romney.

If you check out his Foreign Policy Advisory Committee, note it is top-heavy with pro-war hawks. War is inevitable. And Obama lied to us during his campaign. He will continue to wage war in the Middle East because he is not a free man to do otherwise.

Romney will campaign on stump speeches, as will the cadre of GOP big name conservatives, the advance team sent out to energize his supporters. As in all campaigns, truth will be vaguely mentioned.

Romney promised to balance the budget, What does that really mean. In a conversation with the late Rep. Henry Hyde on a balanced-budget amendment, he told me he was not sure how he would vote on it because it could in actuality be used to raise taxes.

Romney’s legacy in Massachusetts as governor lives on. As governor, he openly supported abortion and homosexuality. How many unborn lives have been snuffed out because he abandoned them?

That he has undergone an Epiphany on these issues is convenient and timely. We only have his word to rely on, much good that does us. Don’t fret about his Mormonism, as governor he chucked it.

If Romney wants independent and Ron Paul supporters to vote for him, he had better provide us with seats at his table. So far his appointments have not been “fair and balanced.”
