Editorial missed mark on Wisconsin

Re: your opinion page editorial on Wisconsin recall. I thought I was reading from the DNC news letter. Gov. Walker’s approach toward labor has been “misguided, extreme and divisive” -- the DNC clichés but no explanation.

Let us take a close look at who was “misguided, extreme and divisive” one at a time.

Misguided: State legislators hiding in Illinois on the tax payers dime instead of defending their position with debate in the arena of ideas.

Extreme: The union siege and occupation of the State Capitol Building. Leaving urine and human excrement in the halls of the building. Pounding on doors and causing a disturbance. Liberal doctors giving out phoney medical excuses to teachers.

Divisive: When the legislators tried to pass a bill to reform the process speeding up mining permits, one liberal Rino and the teachers union. This bill would have been a winner for 15,000 to 25,000 high-paying union jobs in the mining industry, jobs in a depressed economic area of Northern Wisconsin.

Another 3,000 to 5,000 jobs in Wisconsin manufacturing factories of mining equipment were lost.

If Illinois does not follow the route of Wisconsin, nothing will change in Illinois. Gov. Walker has saved his state financially; his plan has worked.
