Bullying law not about the kids
Call me a cynic but I have the queasy feeling in my stomach again. Every time I hear Democrats express a desire to pass a bill on something that can’t be enforced I start to wonder what the ulterior motives are. The Democrats are talking up a law regarding bullying. Now I certainly am not for bullying but how do they intend to enforce that?
Does the school administrator force you send your kid to the doctor for some “be nice” pills? Maybe to a psychiatrist to get his “mind right”? Maybe they’ll lock little Joey up somewhere.
Or maybe this bill is not really much about the kids, maybe it is their gateway to try and silence people in general. The left always has an ulterior motive. I’m sure the left could drum up lawyers to try and file lawsuits or criminal charges against anyone who speaks out forcefully against someone else, even if it is the truth.
Might they begin to suggest that Joe Walsh for example is a bully if he attacks Tammy Duckworth on issues? Was Walsh bullying Jesse Jackson and Democrats when he expressed the truth about their treatment of blacks for 50 years? Would they try and silence Rush Limbaugh with lawsuits or of committing a crime if he speaks out against someone? Is boss a bully for cracking down on his workers?
So many places this could lead to, and knowing the left, there is always a reason other than it’s “for the kids.”
