Poll Vault: Do you have a pension fund?

The end of the spring legislative session came and went last week without a solution to the state pension crisis.

The problem fuels emotional debate on both sides.

Teachers and other public-sector employees who have dutifully contributed to their retirement funds want the state to hold up its end of the bargain. Many private-sector employees who receive no retirement benefits from the state don’t think taxpayers should be on the hook as pension costs skyrocket.

What’s your retirement situation?

Have you been contributing to a 401(k) or IRA account? Does your company provide a pension?

Are you a public-sector worker fearing for the future?

Or are you just hoping to work for as long as you can and make do with Social Security?
