Rosemont inaugurates music fest June 8-10

With 11 live bands, food and drink and free admission, the Village of Rosemont presents the very first “Rockin’ in The Park at Rosemont,” an eclectic outdoor music festival at the MB Financial Park at Rosemont June 8-10.

The festival will be held on the great lawn in the center of new MB Financial Park at Rosemont, 5501 Park Place. Festival hours are 5-11 p.m. Friday; 1-11 p.m. Saturday, and 1-7 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free; food and drink will be available for purchase from restaurants within the complex. Outside coolers cannot be brought into the park.

Each day boasts a variety of live music.

“We are thrilled to provide a full weekend of free, live entertainment at the new MB Financial Park at Rosemont,” said Rosemont Mayor Bradley Stephens.

“We’re confident this festival will become an annual must-do event for the greater Chicago area as we continue to introduce the community to the park’s new and exciting entertainment and dining options.”

Accompanying the Sunday, June 10, performances is the “Bags and Jams” Corn Hole Competition, offering up to $5,000 in prize money. Advance registration, $50, is available until Friday, June 8.

The maximum number of entries is 64 two-person teams; day-of-event entry (pending availability) is $60. For more information about the “Bags and Jams” competition, email Brittany Stephens at stephensb@rsmt.net.

MB Financial Park at Rosemont is a 200,000-square-foot entertainment and dining complex that, when complete, will have eight venues offering upscale international cuisine, live music and comedy, state-of-the-art film, bowling and more.

Park Place is a new, looping street west of River Road between Bryn Mawr and Balmoral avenues. MB Financial Park at Rosemont is walking distance from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, the CTA Blue Line Rosemont station and the Akoo Theatre at Rosemont.
