Sex offender, psychological evaluation ordered for a Lake Villa man
A Lake Villa man accused of having sex with teenage girl during a drinking party at his house has agreed to take part in psychological and sex offender evaluations.
Alexander Lamping, 45, agreed to take the tests Tuesday during a pretrial hearing in Lake County circuit court.
Lamping is expected to meet with psychological evaluators during the next four to six weeks to conduct the tests.
Lamping faces a mandatory prison sentence of four to 15 years if convicted of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Authorities said the attack occurred during a party at his family's house on the 1500 block of Benton Road in spring 2011. Prosecutors allege Lamping followed an extremely intoxicated 17-year-old girl at the party to an upstairs bedroom, made physical advances to her, then had sex with her while she was in what was described as a “semiconscious” condition.
Prosecutors said the girl told family members about the attack a few days later and they went to police.
Lamping is free after posting $4,000 for bond. He is due back in court July 19.
