Church rummage sale:

Prince of Peace Catholic Church’s main fundraiser of the year, its annual rummage sale, will return this weekend. This year, the proceeds of the event will also be allocated to Most Blessed Trinity Parish in Waukegan for its center for victims of domestic violence called House of Peace. Last year, the event raised $38,000, said event co-chair Kathleen Rauch. Seven storage units and half a basement full of used items will be for sale during the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday at the church, 135 S. Milwaukee Ave. Rauch said this year is marked by more furniture and other large items that have been donated, including three cars. For more information, contact Rauch of the Prince of Peace Catholic School at (847) 356-6111.
