Hanover Park’s Longmeadow Lane Bridge closed after inspection

The village of Hanover Park has closed the Longmeadow Lane Bridge to all traffic between Irving Park Road and Westchester Drive.

Public Works Director Howard Killian said an inspection Monday revealed a large “washout” below pavement on the north side of the bridge. It will remain closed until further evaluation.

All homeowners along Longmeadow Lane have access to their driveway, either off Irving Park or Westchester, and motorists are asked to use Edgebrook Lane, Orchard Lane or Walnut Lane to access their residences.
