Teen, 16, fatally shot in dispute over bike
Chicago authorities say a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed after an argument over a bicycle.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Jamal Lockett.
The Chicago Tribune reports that the teenager was among a group of people arguing with another group around 3 p.m. Saturday over whether a bike was stolen. As the groups were breaking up, someone shot Lockett.
He was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Saturday Chicago police say he was shot in the chest.
No arrests have been made in the case.
