Kids can explore Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington
Summer’s all about playing outside, so come to Crabtree Nature Center’s Explore Outside on Sunday, June 10, for a chance to start off your summer fun.
The fun starts at noon with the grand opening of Explore Nature, a children’s outdoor area, and goes till 4 p.m. This is the first such area in the Forest Preserve District of Cook County and lets children climb a spider web, sit in a bird nest and learn how to age a tree. Families will be able to dip nets in ponds, catch insects and join in other free activities.
Crabtree is located in Barrington on Palatine Road, one mile west of Barrington Road. For information, call (847) 381-6592.
