Out-of-state officer fatally hurt in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — Police say a man believed to be an out-of-state law enforcement officer has died after being found injured near the downtown Indianapolis library.
Police say officers were called to the scene about 2:30 a.m. Friday, where they found the man with apparent head wounds seven blocks north of Monument Circle. He was taken in critical condition to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
Police didn’t immediately release more information about the man. A police spokesman says homicide detectives are investigating the death.
