Enjoy free concerts at Waukegan Public Library
Starting in June, many Waukegan residents and employees will continue their long-standing tradition of lunching outdoors every Friday, listening to free concerts held in the Waukegan Public Library courtyard. Musicians will perform jazz, rock, folk and bluegrass on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m., June 1 to Aug. 31, in front of the library on Clayton and County Streets. If it rains, concerts will move indoors to the Bradbury Room on the library’s lower level. Listeners can bring their own lunch or pick up a sandwich or other lunch items available for sale on-site from the Good News Kitchen.
