White Sox vs. Seattle Mariners at U.S. Cellular Field

Pitching matchups: The White Sox’ Jake Peavy (6-1) vs. Felix Hernandez (4-4) Friday at 7:10 p.m.; Gavin Floyd (4-5) vs. Hector Noesi (2-5) Saturday at 3:10 p.m.; Chris Sale (6-2) vs. Kevin Millwood (3-4) Sunday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: After sweeping a three-game series from the Rays at Tampa, the Sox are right back home. They return as the AL Central leaders and are riding an eight-game winning streak. The White Sox won two of three at Seattle in April, highlighted by Philip Humber’s perfect game. Since 2008, they are 14-2 vs. the Mariners at the Cell. Peavy is 2-0 over his last 3 starts, but he has a 6.50 ERA. Hernandez is still a feared starter, but the Mariners’ ace has allowed 16 earned runs in 24 innings over his last 4 starts.
