Tickets are $30; $25 for society members. Tea is an additional $10. Tickets are on sale in person at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or at the Heritage Gallery, 112 W. Fremont, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday; online at www.ahmuseum.org; or call (847) 255-1225.
“Arlington Heights: Through the Decades,” the current Arlington Heights Historical Society Heritage Gallery exhibit, inspired the 19th annual House Walk. Five historic and distinctive homes highlight the rich architectural heritage of Arlington Heights through the last century.
Ÿ A 1906 “Painted Lady” Victorian home; an 1896 farmhouse; a 1910 four-square with a blend of new and old features; a 1922 classic Craftsman bungalow with many amusing Arlington Height historical facts; and a 1920s bungalow with original woodwork and plaster walls.
This is the society’s largest fundraiser, and proceeds benefit the maintenance of the collections and support exhibits in the gallery.
The society also depends on sponsors and ad takers for this event. To date, they thank: Patrick A. Finn, LLC; Village Bank and Trust; JRC Design·Build; Picket Fence Realty; The Care of Trees; Drost, Kivlahan, McMahon and O’Connor, LLC; The Moorings of Arlington Heights; and Arlington Heights Dental Group.
