Eagle’s Nest 5K Saturday
St. Matthew Lutheran School in Hawthorn Woods will host its upcoming Eagle’s Nest 5K on Saturday, June 2, at Lakewood Forest Preserve, Shelter B, near Wauconda. Register for the fun run/walk at 8 a.m., and the race begins at 8:30 a.m. along the scenic Millennium Trail. A $50 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods will be awarded to the first place male and first place female racers. Raffle prizes will be offered to all participants, and each runner/walker who is preregistered will receive a T-shirt and goody bag at the race. Refreshments will also be provided.
