Marmion Alumni hosts steak fry, lobster boil fundraiser

The Marmion Alumni Association will hold its 40th annual Steak Fry/Lobster Boil and Big Ticket Raffle at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 1 in the school’s Alumni Hall, 1000 Butterfield Road in Aurora.

All alumni, parents and friends of Marmion over the age of 21 are invited to attend. Dinner tickets are $35 for a lobster or steak entree and $40 for a steak and crab leg entree.

The dinner includes the entree, sides and dessert as well as beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee. Advance ticket purchase is required. Call the Alumni Office at (630) 966-7628 or visit marmion.org/steakfry to purchase dinner tickets.

At 9 p.m., the Alumni Association will hold its Big Ticket Raffle drawing with 25 chances to win and a grand prize of $25,000. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold, licensed by the city of Aurora, and fewer than 100 tickets are still available. Winner need not be present. The $100 tickets can be purchased by calling the Alumni Office at (630) 966-7628.

The evening also will feature split-the-pots, raffles, live auctions and silent auctions, with items including week-stays at a Chalet in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Ping golf clubs, autographed sports items, spa packages and more.
