Hoffman Estates Police host camp

The Hoffman Estates Police Department is hosting its third Junior Police Academy June 18-22 at the police station at 411 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates. The free camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will cover a variety of topics, including Internet safety and juvenile law. Students entering sixth through eighth grades may apply. Applications are due May 31. All applicants need to have a letter of recommendation from a school staff member, teacher or clergy member.
