Hoffman Estates hosts fishing derby
The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce – Sears Holdings Corporation Community Fishing Derby will be held at 9 a.m. June 9 at South Ridge Lake, 1450 Freeman Road in Hoffman Estates. The lake will be stocked with 100 tagged fish, and each tag will be worth between $10 and $100. There also will be a grand prize of a $1,000 shopping spree for Cabela’s. Registration is $5 per person onsite or $3 per person before June 6 at hechamber.com, Cabela’s or either Hoffman Estates Community Bank locations. For information, call the chamber at (847) 781-9100.
