Naperville man pleads guilty to child porn
A Naperville man faces up to four years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated child pornography, prosecutors said Friday.
Duane Lipinski, 44, was arrested in March after police searched his home on the 600 block of Milton Drive and seized computers containing hundreds of child pornography images, authorities said.
Police identified Lipinski through a six-month online undercover investigation. He told investigators he started collecting child pornography, including images of infants, about six years ago, prosecutors said.
On Wednesday, Lipinski pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated child pornography during an appearance before DuPage County Judge Daniel Guerin. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to cap their sentencing recommendation at four years in prison; Lipinski otherwise would have been eligible for up to seven. He also could receive probation.
Lipinski was being held in the county jail Friday and is scheduled for sentencing June 15.
