Missing Carpentersville woman found in Wisconsin

A 78-year-old Carpentersville woman who had been missing since leaving a church service Thursday morning has been reunited with her family after authorities in Wisconsin located her early Saturday morning.

Dorothy Carrigan, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, was found in Ozaukee County, Wis., about an hour north of Milwaukee. Ozaukee County sheriff’s deputies identified Carrigan during a traffic stop about 1 a.m. Saturday, Carpentersville police spokesman Timothy Bosshart said.

“She was fine physically,” Bosshart said. “But she was confused and disoriented. She had no recollection of how she got there.”
