4 dead, 2 hurt after Chicago vehicle crash

Four people are dead and two others critically injured after a traffic accident on Chicago’s West Side.

Authorities say three women and one man died in the crash early Saturday. Three of the victims died at the scene and one at a nearby hospital. Police say the vehicle struck a light pole after traveling down a main road at a high rate of speed. They say all passengers were ejected and the car was torn apart.

One of the deceased was identified as 19-year-old Gabriella Sanchez of Chicago. Police say they are investigating the cause of the crash.
