Grayslake Central’s baseball team ran its season record to 26-8 with a 12-2 five-inning victory over Hoffman Estates on Friday.

Nick Hosford had a single and scored 3 runs, increasing his school record in runs scored to 55 this season. Another milestone came from Kristian Meehan, who had a single and 2 RBI, giving the senior 51 on the season and tying him with Angelo Gargano for the school record.

Jon Gurchak added a triple and 3 RBI. Kyle Bolling belted a double, and Matt Loeffl had a pair of singles.

Mark Ash picked up his seventh win of the season as he and Kevin Peloza shared mound duties, allowing 3 hits while striking out 10.

Antioch 7, Lake Forest Academy 5: The Sequoits captured their 20th win of the season led by Joe Gregory, who went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and 4 RBI. Jerry LaSaint and Emery Paramski each hit singles.

Dave Rzewnicki got the win after pitching 5 innings, striking out 3. Mitch Everett earned the save.

Grayslake North 5, Deerfield 1: Sam Stanfel and Carl Russell each went 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Knights improved to 17-15.

Adam Gomski and Russell slammed doubles for Grayslake North.

Lake Zurich 4, Rolling Meadows 3: Austin Foote struck out 7 and was supported defensively by a solid Bears defense led by Jacob LaRue and Joey Pizzolato in the infield.

Lake Zurich (22-10) got a pair of doubles from Anthony Drago and Jake Guilianelli, who also got the save.
