Poll Vault: What would you choose for your last meal?

I have a strange fascination with last meals. Whenever I read a story about an execution, I have to know what the condemned requested.

The Associated Press no longer includes such detail in its reports, but Reuters news service often does.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice once had a database of inmates' last meals, but it was taken offline in 2004, much to the disappointment of ghouls such as myself. Texas did away with special food requests altogether in 2011, after one death row inmate ordered a huge meal and didn't eat any of it.

So here's a repeat of the question that gave birth to the Daily Herald e-poll in 2002: What would you choose for your last meal?

Would it be a sumptuous, multicourse dinner? Or perhaps you'd opt for something simple, such as the two pints of mint chocolate-chip ice cream Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh requested before his lethal injection.
