Mitch Albom’s latest book set for release Aug. 28

DETROIT — Mitch Albom’s publisher says the best-selling author’s latest book will be released this summer.

Hyperion announced that “The Time Keeper” comes out Aug. 28.

It marks Albom’s return to fiction. His last book, 2009’s “Have a Little Faith,” was nonfiction.

His most recent fiction book, “For One More Day,” came out six years ago.

“The Time Keeper” is about the legend of Father Time. In Albom’s version, however, Father Time isn’t an old man, but a young boy who becomes the inventor of the world’s first clock.

Albom, a Michigan resident, is also a playwright, screenwriter, radio host and prize-winning columnist for the Detroit Free Press.

He’s best known for “Tuesdays With Morrie,” a memoir that sold millions.
