Pitching matchups: The Sox' Gavin Floyd (3-3) vs. Jerome Williams (3-1) today at 9:05 p.m.; Chris Sale (3-2) vs. C.J. Wilson (4-3) Thursday at 2:35 p.m.

At a glance: After splitting a two-game home series with the Tigers, the White Sox make a quick trip to the West Coast for the first meeting of the season against the Angels. Los Angeles has arguably been the biggest disappointment in baseball so far. Albert Pujols is playing a lot like Adam Dunn did last season, and the Angels were last in the AL West heading into Tuesday' game against Oakland. Outfielder Torii Hunter is not expected to play vs. the Sox. Hunter was placed on the restricted list Monday after his teenage son was arrested in Texas and charged with sexual assault of a child. Floyd is 2-1 with a 1.26 ERA over his last 4 starts.
