Sky sets 11-player roster for season

The Chicago Sky made its final WNBA roster cut Wednesday, waiving DePaul forward Felicia Chester-Wooton to trim its roster to 11 players for the season for head coach and general manager Pokey Chatman.

The final roster includes six returners from last season and five newcomers: forward Swin Cash, guard Ticha Penicheiro, center Ruth Riley, forward Le’coe Willingham and rookie Sonja Petrovic.

The returning players are centers Sylvia Fowles and Carolyn Swords, guards Epiphanny Prince, Courtney Vandersloot, Shay Murphy, and forward Tamera Young.

The Sky opens its regular season in Washington versus the Mystics on Saturday. The team’s home opener is 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Allstate Arena against the Indiana Fever.
