MacLean-Fogg acquires Sky Manufacturing

Mundelein-based MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions said it has acquired Sky Manufacturing in Commerce, Calif. Terms of the sale were not announced.

The new company will be called MacLean Sky L.L.C. and will be fully integrated into the Fastener Components Group of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions, according to MacLean-Fogg President Duncan MacLean.

Sky Manufacturing, founded in 1997, is a fast growing aerospace bolt maker, selling components into the aerospace market and has many OEM certifications.

“The Sky Manufacturing acquisition increases our exotic alloy fastener product offering, expands our regional manufacturing footprint in the western United States, and improves our service to the aerospace industry,” said Jim Tanner, vice president business development, MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions,

MacLean-Fogg President Duncan MacLean added that the acquisition “demonstrates our strong commitment to the aerospace market and is a key step in the development of our aerospace market strategy.”

MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions, a division of the MacLean-Fogg Company, supplies fastener components, engineered components and linkage and suspension components to a wide range of industries including automotive, heavy truck, aerospace, appliance, wind, and mining.
