Few details have been released regarding police shooting and killing a man in his 40s in the parking lot of a Des Plaines strip mall Sunday afternoon. Officers involved in the shooting suffered injuries and were treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. The man's body remained covered near the driver's-side door of a vehicle at the scene on the 1900 block of East Touhy for hours as state police investigators photographed the scene. Police are seeking a "person of interest" in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old man at an Arlington Heights apartment complex where he worked and lived. A fire last night left on the 1300 block of Frederick Lane left a Naperville home uninhabitable, officials said. A resident of the home ran and rang the nearby fire station's door bell to alert firefighters to the blaze. As Bears rookies spend the weekend going through a rookie minicamp, the issue of concussions, highlighted extensively in the league and in the media, does not seem to phase the new Bears. "Just block it out," Bears first-round draft choice Shea McClellin said Sunday when asked how he deals with it.
