Property tax sticker shock
What homeowner in Lake County was elated upon receiving their latest property tax bill?
Property values are going down, yet property taxes are going up. Why are the existing homeowners burdened with having to subsidize this out-of-control spending?
Taxes, tolls, gas just to name a few increases. The property owners are then inundated with referendums, then made to feel guilty for not voting in favor of them.
One would think that the process would curb taxes and create some balance. The typical family in Lake County must scrimp and budget to make ends meet.
Slow down, Lake County, take a deep breath and cut coupons like the rest of us.
