Lake Park wins late

Stephanie Starr doubled in Danielle Jecmen with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, giving No. 17 Lake Park a 5-4 win over Neuqua Valley on Friday in Roselle. Neuqua Valley (16-13, 9-7 Upstate Eight Valley), which dropped its sixth straight game, tied it 4-4 in the top of the seventh on a two-out run-scoring wild pitch. Jecmen reached to lead off the seventh, and after a sacrifice and out Starr delivered the game-winner. Winning pitcher Marilyn Perry (12-7) homered, as did Bianca Catalano, for Lake Park (19-12, 12-5). Kat Widup and Kelsey Dominguez were both 2-for-4 with a double and Jamie O’Brien 2-for-3 for Neuqua.

Immaculate Conception 13, Momence 1:

The Knights (25-6) set a program win record, routing Momence in the first round of the Lisle Invite. Katelyn Conenna was 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, Gabby Curran was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Maria Kieliszewski drove in 2 runs. Jessica Conenna (18-5) struck out 10 for IC, who advances to play Rockridge today.

Lisle 2, Dakota 0:

Melanie Early (16-2) threw a three-hitter, striking out seven, and doubled and drove in 2 runs for the No. 20 Lions (24-3) at the Lisle Invite. Mackenzie Buchelt doubled twice and scored a run for Lisle, which advances to play Morrison at 10:30 a.m. today in a rematch of last year’s Class 2A state semifinal.

Naperville Central 10, Metea Valley 0:

Kaitlyn Skarecky crushed a long three-run homer in the first inning, and Dana Dolehide and Courtney Giebel hit back-to-back shots in the third inning for the No. 10 Redhawks (23-5). Kristina Vizza (11-2) struck out nine.

Naperville North 5, West Aurora 3:

Alexis Solak hit a two-run homer for the host Huskies (17-8, 9-3 DuPage Valley Conference).

York 8, Lyons Twp. 3:

Tessa Kroll (7-7) struck out 10, and went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI for the Dukes. Alyssa Johnson had 2 hits and scored 3 runs, Rachel Gentile 2 hits with a double and 3 RBI and Gracie Sullivan 2 hits with a double and run.

Montini 15, Walter Payton Prep 1:

Shaylee Lewis tripled twice, doubled and drove in a run for the Broncos (16-11) at the Niles West Tourney. Tori Shipbaugh went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI and Alex Dewey 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Hinsdale South 7, Morton 1:

Sabrina Kuchta homered and drove in 4 runs for the Hornets (19-11, 6-3 West Suburban Gold), who pounded out 12 hits.

Timothy Christian 4, Maine East 1:

Marisa Voss struck out 11, Jessica Dirkse scored 2 runs and Amber Scheidt drove in 2 for the Trojans (11-19).
