Carpentersville
Ÿ Hilario Camarena-Doroteo, 44, of the 0-99 block of Birch Street, Carpentersville, has been accused of sexually abusing a girl who is younger than 13. Prosecutors said Camarena-Doroteo lives in the same neighborhood as the girl and that he fondled her on Wednesday, outside of the home she shares with her parents. He was charged with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse to a child under 13 years old and misdemeanor battery. His bail was set at $300,000, and he needs to post $30,000 to get out of jail while his case moves through the courts. His next court date is May 23 at the Kane County Judicial Center. Aggravated criminal sexual abuse is a Class 2 felony that carries a prison sentence between three and seven years, upon a guilty conviction, but probation also is an option.
Huntley
Ÿ Huntley police are looking for a man they say exposed and fondled himself early Friday morning while looking into a home in the 10100 block of Bennington Drive, police said. According to a news release, a woman was watching television in the living room when she saw the man in the front window, looking into her home and touching himself. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s or early 30s, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He has light skin, light eyes and was wearing a black zip-up jacket, a white shirt underneath it and a black hat or cap. He either had light facial hair or no facial hair. Elgin
Ÿ Jesus Bahena, 19, of the 600 block of Slade Avenue, Elgin, was arrested Thursday — a day before his birthday — on charges he tried to sell marijuana, police said. According to a police report, Bahena had nearly 12 grams of marijuana on him and resisted the officer’s attempt to pat him down for weapons. Bahena was charged with manufacture/delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana and two counts of resisting or obstructing a police officer. His bail was set Friday morning at $15,000, which means he needs to post $1,500 if he wants to get out of jail. He is due in court Thursday at the Kane County Judicial Center.
