How about some occasional reality?
Columnist Eugene Robinson asserts that extreme far right language is more dangerous than extreme far left language. I understand that he’s a liberal and has no admiration for the NRA. However, asserting that it was “chilling” that an NRA audience applauded a metaphorical comparison of the Obama administration to coyotes makes a ridiculous assumption that Ted Nugent and the NRA are assassins.
Mr. Robinson needs to do his homework. The NRA is the nation’s oldest firearms training and safety organization. It is made up of approximately 4 million law-abiding citizens. The NRA has never condoned the criminal use of firearms. In fact, they have supported laws to punish offenders more severely. I don’t expect fairness, but how about some occasional reality?
