Gurnee Park District art exhibit

The Gurnee Park District fine arts program hosts an art exhibit May 18 through June 22 at Viking Hall, at 4374 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee. A reception is set for Friday, May 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The art exhibit contains the watercolor and oil artwork of teen and adult students and portraits a variety of techniques and a wide array of inspirations. Painting classes are offered at Gurnee Park District on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The instructor is Sallie Roniss, who has been guiding students in their craft for more than 22 year, including 10 years with the Gurnee Park District.
