Switch to rants on topics that matter

While the nation roils, far-left gadfly Eugene Robinson continues to saw away on his one-string fiddle. The same old screeching, fingernails on the blackboard rant.

The in-your-face $1 million party in Vegas? Nope. Must have been Secret Service agents behaving more like rutting stags? Naw. Perhaps the broadsides by Bill Maher and Hilary Rosen against stay-at-home moms? Not a peep. The Black Panthers and their death threats in Florida? Not a chance.

No, this BSNBC regular claims extremely right-wing rhetoric is “qualitatively different” and “far more damaging than the ties that bind” than its left-wing counterpart. Really. His beef? Ted Nugent.

This, whatever he is, has a nationally syndicated column carried by our own Daily Herald, and any sixth-grade civics student could tell you what he will say before he makes his first keystroke. So here you go, you want Romney to publicly repudiate Nugent? Remove the sawmill from your own eye first. Ask Obama to return the $1 million the biggest misogynist in entertainment (Maher) donated first and then, then, maybe you have a toe to stand on. Until then, please replace a few strings on your violin. I can’t even recognize the tune anymore.
