Let voters have a say on school spending

A simple solution to solving outrageous and wasteful school spending in Illinois:

If there are any proposed tax increases by school districts the increase must be approved by voters via an election process before being raised. Unfortunately we in Illinois often have the misfortune of getting school board members who do not seem to understand piggy bank economics, let alone make rational decisions regarding the use of taxpayer money. The actions of many of the school boards can best be compared to that of a farmer who would hire a fox to guard his chickens.

Gov. Quinn, push this change as soon as possible. If you do I will send you a cigar for your efforts!
